Welcome to the EPIC Lab in the Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where the forefront of AI technology meets cutting-edge research. At EPIC Lab, our mission is to pioneer advancements in elastic AI computing systems and architecture design, ensuring they are not only efficient but also trustworthy. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in AI, focusing on critical projects that include developing trustworthy AI systems, hardware-software co-design, and innovative architecture design.
Our collaborative efforts with industry giants such as IBM and Samsung have positioned us at the nexus of technological innovation and practical application. Through these partnerships, we leverage a wealth of knowledge and resources to tackle the challenges facing AI today and pave the way for the AI of tomorrow.
We are looking for highly self-motivated Ph.D. students and postdocs to work on Elastic AI Computing via algorithm-architecture co-design. Prospective students are encouraged to apply to Ph.D. in Computer and Systems Engineering or in Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. RPI was ranked 41 in Computer Engineering and 60 in Computer Science by U.S. News 2024.
